Press Release Author: Patty Dost
Industry: Small Business
Press Release Summary: Announcement of a new internship program designed to provide new virtual assistants with the experience needed to gain clients.
Press Release Body: Patty Dost has been providing administrative assistance for more than two decades, formerly as a traditional employee, and currently as a business owner. Dost owns and operates a virtual assistance company based in Lafayette, Indiana called Time Is Of The Es-Cents. The virtual assistance industry is gaining popularity throughout North America and across the globe as more and more business owners recognize the many benefits associated with outsourcing their administrative needs - virtually. Time Is Of The Es-Cents provides a myriad of administrative services from creating labels and spreadsheets to maintaining blogs, sending newsletters, performing Internet research and almost everything in between.
Ms Dost has been involved with VANetworking.com (VANA to its members) for # years, as a member, volunteer and VA (virtual assistant) to its founder, Tawnya Sutherland. VANA is the world's largest virtual assistant organization, and on December 13th at its 'virtual' Christmas party, Dost was awarded the association's first annual 'VAccolade Business Entrepreneur of the Year' award. Each week, a virtual assistant from VANA's international membership is honored as VAccolade Business Entrepreneur, and Dost was chosen from among VANA's weekly recipients of 2007 as the yearly winner.
"She is the one behind the scenes keeping VANA running smoothly and in focus so that all virtual assistants worldwide have a comfortable and friendly place to network online," commented Sutherland. She went on to say, "Patty is always there for us answering questions at the forum from 'how to post your avatars' to 'finding out your password when it\'s forgotten'. She contributes in so many ways to VANA that I cannot even begin to list them. Without Patty, VANA would not be the wonderful resource it is to so many VAs worldwide. We should all be tipping our VA hats off to Patty Dost, the VA who helps keep over 7,500 members informed about the VA industry today."
Besides a special banner to display on her website, www.TimeIsOfTheEscents.com, Dost was presented (virtually) with a ticket, valued at $349 CAD to attend the Forum on Virtual Assistance, happening in Toronto, Canada in May of 2008.
